Amy Aswell Interior Design
Amy Aswell, CID, LEED AP
Founder / Design Principal
Amy, a Northern California native, felt the strong pull to return to her roots after 5 years of study and practice of interior design in Eugene and Portland. She holds a Masters of Interior Architecture (M.I. Arch) degree from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!) and has since become a Certified Interior Designer and LEED AP. Before founding Beta Form Industries in 2012, Amy discovered another passion; teaching interior design at the college level. While living and working in the bay area, she was awarded a full-time position at a private art college in Sacramento and decided to take the leap to California's capitol city. Currently she finds her creative spark while exploring the pleasures of good food and drink, regional and international travel, taking in the gifts of nature, appreciating all genres of music, and through art appreciation. After spending nearly 5 years teaching interior design, Amy is now solely devoted to practicing design in California and beyond.
Amy Aswell's body of work is recognized for being refined, mindful, engaging, minimalist, clever and comprehensive. She understands and feels most comfortable working creatively as a linguist between the allied design languages of architecture, interiors and landscape design. Amy believes in thoughtful, conscientious design that draws upon unique building, site and community features to cultivate emotional connection and place-making.
Her commercial and residential design projects to-date include: branding + identity, concept development, interior // exterior design + consulting, project management and custom furniture // lighting design.
